2,400 SurgiLance™ Safety Lancets Donated for Free Glucose Screenings in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. and ATLANTA, Aug. 24 — MediPurpose, a master distributor and manufacturer of medical products, recently donated 2,400 SurgiLance™ safety lancets to Taylor Internal Medicine for use in free glucose screenings at a Community Back-to-School Health Fair earlier this month in Montgomery, Alabama.

MediPurpose donated 240 boxes of its SurgiLance™ SL240 safety lancets. The orange safety lancet’s 22-gauge blade delivers an incision depth of 2.2 mm and is ideal for 20-40 µL blood collections.

According to Patricia Cockrell, operations manager of Taylor Internal Medicine, the health fair saw an estimated 2,000 participants.

“It is truly our privilege to support Taylor Internal Medicine,” said MediPurpose Director of Marketing Derek Rudnak. “MediPurpose recognizes its obligation to be a socially responsible company, and we are happy to demonstrate that by helping Taylor provide free glucose testing in Montgomery.”

Since its launch in 1999, SurgiLance™ safety lancets have become one of the world’s most popular needlestick solutions.

SurgiLance™ safety lancets are available in six models, with either a needle or blade, each with different depths of penetration, to provide optimal blood flow for different applications and skin types.

No-cost product samples are available for request. For more information about SurgiLance™, please visit www.medipurpose.com/surgilance.
