MediPurpose Announces Singapore Trademark Protection for MediPlus Advanced Wound Care

SINGAPORE and ATLANTA, Oct. 19 — MediPurpose, a master distributor and manufacturer of medical products, today announced that it has been granted trademark protection in Singapore for its MediPlus™ Advanced Wound Care Products logo and brand identity.

The medical device company was recently notified that the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore approved MediPurpose’s application to register a trademark, collective mark or certification mark in Singapore for MediPlus.

Along with its trademark for MediPlus, MediPurpose has also been granted international trademarks for its babyLance™ infant heel incision device and SurgiLance™ safety lancet products.

About MediPlus Advanced Care Products

Introduced in 2010, MediPlus Advanced Wound Care is MediPurpose’s newest medical product offering. Expected to be available for immediate distribution this month, information for requesting MediPlus Advanced Wound Care product pricing and samples is currently available online.

MediPlus was created for healthcare facilities and medical product distributors that are seeking high quality advanced wound care products at highly competitive prices.

“Our ability to provide cost-effective wound care solutions is an integral part of MediPurpose’s value proposition,” said MediPurpose Vice President Wound Care Michael Riddle. “With our recent 510(k) clearance for silver foam dressings, we can now supply a range of antibacterial dressings at prices that will allow healthcare professionals to offer these beneficial products to a larger population of patients.”

MediPlus enjoyed two successful debuts earlier this year at the 24th Annual Symposium on Advanced Wound Care and at the 43rd Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse Society Conference (WOCN).

“We have been very pleased with the number of positive comments we’ve received about the depth of our advanced wound care product portfolio, its competitive nature and the acknowledgement that our value-based pricing should position us for success in today’s cost-conscious environment,” said Riddle.

The MediPlus advanced wound care product line currently features:

* Foams: MediPlus Foam, MediPlus Comfort Foam, MediPlus Super Foam, MediPlus HC Foam
* Hydrocolloids: MediPlus HC (Standard and Extra-Thin), MediPlus HC Comfort
* Hydrogels: MediPlus Barrier Gel, MediPlus Barrier Gel Comfort
* Non-Adherent Pads: MediPlus PE Pad
* Post-Surgical Dressing: MediPlus PU Pad, MediPlus Surgical
* Thin Films: MediPlus PU Film, MediPlus PU Frame

Additionally, MediPurpose last month announced that it received U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance for its silver foam wound dressings, which are expected to be available early next year.

“As an experienced master distributor, MediPurpose has done all the hard work for medical product distributors seeking to purchase high-quality wound care products at competitive prices,” said Riddle.

“MediPlus offers a host of advantages for companies that distribute advanced wound care supplies,” added Riddle. “Our team of experts has completed all the regulatory, quality, reimbursement and logistics required to import the comprehensive line of MediPlus advanced wound care products.”
