MediPurpose Giving Away Apple Watch, AmEx Gift Cards at 2015 NANN Conference
First Public Appearance of New babyLance™ Micropreemie Infant Heel Incision Device
MediPurpose™, a medical product manufacturer and master distributor, today announced it will again host an exhibition booth for its babyLance™ safety heelstick at the National Association of Neonatal Nurses’ 31st Annual Education Conference in Dallas, October 22–25, 2015.
MediPurpose will be at booth #519 on:
- Thursday, October 22 from 5:30–7:30 p.m.
- Friday, October 23 from 9:30 a.m.–2 p.m.
- Saturday, October 24 from 9 a.m.–2.30 p.m.
Prize drawings will be held each day at the end of each exhibition session.
The company said NANN attendees could expect more of the same exciting daily prize drawings and access to babyLance sales managers as they have at previous NANN conferences—which this year includes an Apple Watch and $100 American Express gift cards. Last year, the company gave away an Apple iPad 16GB with Wi-Fi, a Michael Kors handbag and AmEx gift cards.
MediPurpose will be introducing the new babyLance Micropreemie (BLM) at this year’s event, which delivers a shallower (0.60 mm) incision than babyLance’s two original models—the Preemie (BLM) and the Newborn (BLN)—that deliver 0.85 mm and 1.0 mm incisions, respectively.
The BLM’s addition makes the babyLance portfolio one of the most comprehensive in the industry, said Yi.
“We are excited for our NANN guests to preview this new infant heelstick device,” said MediPurpose founder and CEO Patrick Yi. “In fact, our interactions with them at last year’s event significantly influenced our decision to expand the babyLance portfolio, much as they have in previous years to help develop and improve the original babyLance heelstick.”
Yi referenced a MediPurpose white paper, Heelstick Trigger Activation Survey at the 2011 NANN Conference, which described how neonatal nurses’ input and validation for the new neonatal heelstick device.
“Their input at the 2011 NANN conference was a crucial factor in our conclusion to change the original trigger’s directional style, as well as several other components related to babyLance’s ergonomics, functionality and safety,” said Yi. “This year, we hope to learn more about their perspectives in regards to heel incision best practices that can improve bleeding and healing times for babies of varying ages and sizes.”
