Joins KOL Bio-Medical Instruments, Exclusive Distributor in the Eastern U.S. Named Today

IRVINE, Calif. and ATLANTA, Aug. 2—MediPurpose^®, a master distributor and manufacturer of medical devices, today announced Kentec Medical, Inc. as its Western U.S. regional distributor for its new babyLance^® infant heel incision device.

Kentec will distribute babyLance infant heelsticks in 15 states throughout the Western United States.

MediPurpose also today announced that KOL Bio-Medical Instruments, Inc. of Chantilly, Virginia will distribute babyLance heelsticks in 22 states throughout the Eastern United States.

The new babyLance infant heel incision device is a fully redesigned iteration of MediPurpose’s original safe, easy and effective heelstick device.

Used by neonatal caregivers to collect blood samples from infants, the new babyLance features an ergonomic design to provide a secure and stable grip. Combined with a redesigned trigger mechanism, the device is easy to activate, helping to deliver a consistent incision without touching the baby’s tender nerve fibers. The product is now available for sale and distribution through MediPurpose’s new partners.

Kentec will be distributing both versions of the babyLance heelstick device:

• The babyLance BLN (Newborn), which delivers an incision depth of 1.00 mm.
• The babyLance BLP (Preemie), which delivers an incision depth of 0.85 mm.
